Oct 23, 1927 - Dec 20, 2017
Luigi Banducci passed away peacefully on December 20, 2017 with loving family by his side. He was 90 years old.

Dad was born in Tassignano (Lucca), Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1950, arriving in Halifax aboard the S.S. Conte Biancamano. From there, he worked his away across the country to British Columbia where he lived in Victoria, Kitimat, New Hazleton, and Prince George before settling in Kelowna in 1972.

He lived a full, enterprising life and had a deep love of family, friends, and community. A true selfless gentleman, he had a charming, engaging way with people, and enjoyed story telling, European football, music and a good practical joke.

He is predeceased by his wife, Ileana, of 46 years and survived by his four children; Ivana Percival (Robert), Fabio Banducci (Caterina), Sandro Banducci, Marina Fish (Murray); his nine grandchildren, Natalina, Francesca, Tatiana, Alessandra, Miranda, Martina, Isabella, Matteo and Cristina; and his brother Angelo in Italy.

We are grateful for the amazing staff at Hawthorn Park and Orchard Manor who loved and helped care for Dad in his final years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on January 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Parish, 1077 Fuller Avenue, Kelowna, with Rev. Gerald Sekanga as Celebrant.
