May Marion McIntosh Wyatt (nee Cook)

born Kennoway, Fife, Scotland, February 9, 1902, passed away just three weeks into her 108th year. 100 years ago May immigrated to British Columbia. She was a long time resident of Duncan and Victoria and more recently, Kelowna. May was predeceased by her husband, Allinson Elsdon “Don”. She is survived by her son Tom (Bouwina), daughter Yvonne, grandson Stuart (Marie), granddaughters Maureen (Todd), Bonnie (Steve), and great granddaughters Taya and Kassi. At the family’s request, no service will be held in Kelowna. Family and friends recently gathered for her 107th birthday to celebrate her life and longevity. A family remembrance will be held in Victoria, BC at a later date. May’s husband served during the First World War and valued highly the support and services of the Salvation Army on the front lines. For that reason it was her wish that donations be made to them, or the charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers. May’s family would like to thank Dr. Barry Eliason and her many caregivers and friends at David Lloyd-Jones Home and Sun Pointe Village.
