Peggy BRUNT (nee Rose)

Peggy BRUNT (nee Rose)

passed away peacefully on May 17th, 2008 at the age of 88 years. Peggy was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan November 23rd, 1919. She married H. K. in July, 1947 and together they raised four children. Peggy is survived by her daughter Sandie, sons Russ and Bob and their many children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Horace and son Gord. Peggy was a veteran of World War II where she served as a WREN from 1942 to 1945. Peggy was the type of Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend you would want to have. She cared deeply about the welfare of others and was always there to lend a helping hand. There is not a single member of her family or extended family who Peggy did not help at some time, in some way. Always willing to try new things Peggy took up Scottish Country Dancing, Bridge and Lawn Bowling later in life and made many good friends through those activities. Her zest for life and enjoyment of a good time were traits we all loved and admired. Happy hour was not something to be forgotten, no matter how hectic the day might have been. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Shirlie and Elmer, Del and Diane, George and Elsie, Erika, as well as all the care givers at Mountainview Village and Dr. Tereposky for their loving care of Peggy in her final years. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of their choice – Peggy would have liked that. VALLEYVIEW FUNERAL HOME, 165 Valleyview Rd, 765-3147. Honored provider of Dignity Memorial.
