Dec 17, 1938 - Apr 14, 2018
We are broken hearted to announce the passing of our dearest Dad / Husband

Phil Ruskowsky.

Phil and Dianne were long time residents of Rutland having moved there from Regina in 1974. When he began his career with Black Mountain Irrigation District as administrative director, where he remained  for over 30 years. He loved his life work and garnered much success achieving his goals.

Dad was the youngest of 12 children from a small farm outside of Humboldt, Sask. He and Mom met and married in Regina in 1962 and then later relocated the entire crew to Kelowna, where they happily raised us 3 children.

Anyone one who knew Phil was embraced by his warm smile, charming and kind personality and his generous and fun spirit. Him and Mom had an amazing time creating the happiest home for friends and family to enjoy, the door was always open.

He left impressions on our hearts that shall never be erased!

Phil is survived by his wife of 56 years Dianne, his 3 children Karen (David James), Lynn (Jim Kilback), and Wayne (Kara Ruskowsky).

We would like to thank the team on 6 West of KGH for the amazing care they gave to Dad these last days and also to Dr. Mike Purdon who has been a continued source of support to our family - we Thank You.

A private service will be held followed by a celebration date to announced later.

With respect to any donations please make to the SPCA.
