Robert (Bob) Lindsay Scowcroft

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Lindsay Scowcroft of West Kelowna, BC. After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, Bob passed peacefully on

December 14, 2016 at the age of 87.

Bob was born in Tisdale, SK. He and his family moved to Surrey, BC where he attended Queen Elizabeth Senior Secondary School which is where he met Eleanor, the love of his life. They spent 66 happy, married years together. He was self-employed, spending many years in the fast food restaurant business as an owner/operator.

Bob was a long-time member of the Vintage Car Club, enjoying all the activities associated with the club. He was always busy building boats, campers, vintage cars and he even built a motorhome. Bob enjoyed fishing, music and a game of golf. He was fortunate to retire early allowing him and Eleanor to spend their summers at home in the sunny Okanagan and winters in Yuma, Arizona.

Bob is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Frances, brothers, Maurice and Alan and his sisters, Irene and Margaret. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Eleanor and his sons Brian (Gloria), Raymond (April) and Dennis (Dariel), his sister Dorothy Curtain, his ten Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

There will be no service by request. A Celebration of Life with family and friends will take place in the Spring of 2017.

A special thank you to Dr. M. Banwell and the caring staff at Brookhaven Care Centre.
