GRACEY,ROBERT Edwin

September 8, 1918-November 18, 2009 Bob passed away in Kelowna on November 18, 2009.  Bob was born in North Vancouver and raised in Vancouver.  Following high school, Bob worked in a number of communities throughout BC but most of his working life was spent in Prince George where he resided for 40 years.  During this time, he served as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Prince George School Board and later as Project Manager for the City of Prince George.  It was towards the end of his career that he met Margaret Proverbs.  They married in 1978 and moved to Kelowna eleven years later.  Bob and Margaret were fond of travelling, both abroad and within BC.  Bob loved British Columbia and knew every road and the history of all regions of the Province.  Bob was very proud of his Irish heritage and had the opportunity to visit Ireland on a number of occasions during his retirement.  Bob had many interests, including politics, carpentry, gardening and had a tool collection that was the envy of all. Bob is survived by his wife Margaret, step children Frank (Carol), Rosalind (Bob) and Trevor (Wendy) and grandchildren Geoff

and Tracey.  A Memorial Service will be held at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC on

Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 1:00 PM.  Refreshments will be served following the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting
