ROBERT Wayne, Ratcliffe

June 1, 1942 Aug 19, 2009 Wayne’s journey in life ended all too soon after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He fought his illness with the same positive attitude, spirit and tenacity that he applied to every aspect of his life.

He died peacefully at home with his wife at his side.

A caring father to a blended family, he leaves to cherish his memory his wife Sandi, three daughters two sons and six grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, a brother and his mother Mae. He was employed for 30 yrs at CFI Tembec) in Skookumchuck. He also founded OKMAC Hearing Tests spending many hours traveling throughout

Southern BC. After retirement, he & Sandi became snowbirds & traveled extensively, with Bahia De Los Angeles on the Baja, becoming their winter home and fishing became his passion. Wayne was a kind hearted, thoughtful and gentle man who will long be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his quick wit and his winning smile. He embraced life to the fullest and amassed a great variety of friends over his lifetime. Left with many fun memories are his special “Bone” buddies, his “Baja” buddies & his Interior Health “Bath” buddies. At Wayne’s request, no formal service will be held. Never known to turn down a “cold” one, Wayne would smile, if at your next happy hour, you lifted a glass in remembrance of him.

His ashes will be scattered on the Sea of Cortez at a

later date.
