Sid entered into eternal rest on Jan 2nd, 2015 after a long and courageous 10 year battle after his stroke. Even then, he still lived, his life to the fullest. Sid leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Rose of 46 years, brother-in-laws, sister–in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nephews and nieces, his daughter Karen, son Gerry, 2 grandchildren, our extended family and friends. Predeceased by his mom, dad and sister. There is no service, we may have a memorial later in the spring. Should you desire, in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Condolences may be sent through www.everdenrust.com.
I walked with you as long as I could
Ours years were many, our days were good
I watched you fade, slowly day by day
My heart wept tears, I hid them away.
I could not show you weakness or grief.
I gave you strength and wondrous belief;
God took your hand and we had to part,
He eased your pain, but he broke my heart.
I wanted you with me for a few more years,
God knew how I felt, but he knew best,
He took you home so you could rest.
Your beautiful memories I will treasure forever,
Of the happy days we were together;
With an aching heart, I whisper low,
You were my life, I love you, and will miss you so…
