Thomas Whieldon Joynson passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the age of 84. He is survived by his loving wife Julianna Verona, daughters Sharon and Kathy Joynson and son Larry Joynson, all of Winnipeg, MB; granddaughter Tracy and great granddaughters Tianna and JazLyn; and by Julianna's son Claudio Verona.
He was predeceased by his daughter Pat and son William. Thomas loved to play guitar and sing songs by his favorite Western artists such as Johnny Cash and Hank Snow, including "I Still Miss Someone" and "The Green, Green Grass of Home." He was a self-employed landscaper for many years and worked at West Coast Shipyards in Vancouver, BC for 15 years.
He and Julianna retired to Kelowna, enjoying the Okanagan weather as well as travel throughout the USA.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 1 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Rd, Kelowna with interment to follow in the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
