Walter BOLDT

BOLDT, Walter

May 7, 2011 began as an ordinary day for Walter Boldt and ended in a spectacular fashion with him passing into the presence of Jesus Christ, his Saviour and Friend. Walter was known affectionately by many as ‘Pastor Boldt’, having served Christian and Missionary Alliance congregations in Dawson Creek, BC (5 ½ years) and the University Drive/Circle Drive Alliance Church in Saskatoon, SK for nearly 30 years. Walter’s ministry touched the lives of many beyond the borders of church through his radio programs and television ministry. Upon leaving local church ministry, Walter served in a broader capacity with the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada for 8 years and continued to fill his retirement with seasonal ministry in Mesa Arizona at several RV parks there.

Walter’s wife Doris, their three children; Wayne, Melanie, Sandra and the extended family mourn his passing, but rejoice in the expectation of a certain and sure reunion in the future. . . details pending!

A public viewing will be held Friday evening at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, between the hours of 7-8 pm. Following a private interment service, a public memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14 at Evangel Church, 3261 Gordon Drive, Kelowna, BC.

The family wishes to thank the many friends who have expressed their sympathy and fond remembrances of Walter’s life and ministry. If desired, donations to ministries of shared values with Walter’s life are encouraged. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting, 250-860-7077.
