June 26, 1940 - January 24, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Wendell Turk on January 24, 2019. Wendell is survived by his beloved wife, Leona; daughter Sandra; and two sons Wayne (Linda) and Darren; two granddaughters Alisha and Katie; sister Fran and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Matt.
He was born on June 26, 1940 in Emmental, Romania. He immigrated to Canada with his parents, brother and sister in 1953. They settled in Kelowna, where Wendell worked in construction before becoming an orchardist. He was into all sports and especially loved soccer. He will be sadly missed.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Sunpointe Village, especially the Belgo Community. We would also like to thank Dr. Erasmus for her care and support.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11 am at St. Pius X Church, 1077 Fuller Avenue. Kelowna.
