November 5, 1932 – March 3, 2008. It is with shock and great sadness that the Meashaw family announces the passing of William Delbert Meashaw at the age of 75. Surrounded in Hospital by his loving family, Del’s life ended suddenly from a brain aneurism on March 3, 2008. He leaves behind his loving wife, Claire of 54 years; children, Del (Marilyn), Renette (Everett), Wayne (Deanna) and Kim (Jerry); twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Joan, Beth and Judy; uncles, Phil and Jim; aunt, Chrissy as well as numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Del was born and raised in the Peace River area and later moved to Fort St. John in 1958. Ticketed as a journeyman in sheet metal, gas fitting and pipe fitting, Del worked in and around the oil and gas industry for forty years. Always having the time to share a story with friends or even strangers, while enjoying his favorite pastimes like hunting, fishing and boating. His laughter and sense of humor will be missed. There will be an open house for the celebration of life on Saturday, March 8th from 1-4 p.m. at the Crystal Springs Community Club House, 1850 Shannon Lake Road, Westbank.
