October 15, 1925 - May 28, 2020
On Thursday, May 28, our dear dad turned the last page of the last chapter of his life. Dad was in his room at Brookhaven Care Centre with family by his side when he died.
Left to mourn but cherish all the wonderful memories are his five children - Tina Shields, Trish Perkins, Maureen (Gord) Savage, Denise (Jose Ortiz) Haskett and Matthew (Susan) Haskett. He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren whom he adored - Karen, Duncan, Brodie, Tamara, Daniel, Cassandra, Nathan, Jesse and Kendra. Dad was also blessed to have six great-grandchildren. Danica, Zoe, Luke, Jesse, Audrey and Emile will miss their GG.
A special thank you to Dr. W. Mackle for his trusted and excellent care of dad. To all the wonderful staff at Brookhaven, you are an exceptional group of caregivers. It has been especially hard for all concerned for the past three months with the challenges that COVID-19 presented. Your care, compassion and professionalism is exemplary. The final wave goodbye is always the hardest. We will have a private family interment followed by a celebration of life at a later date when we can safely gather.
