February 10, 1933 - August 4, 2018
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bill Hodson on August 4, 2018 in Kelowna, BC at the age of 85 years. He was born on February 10, 1933 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife Ardyth and proud to have had three sons, Allen, Bill and Brian, along with two daughter-in-laws, Donna and Jill. His five grandchildren and three great grandchildren brought him much joy! Kari-Lynn and Bobby McPhee, Brent Hodson, Shelby Hodson, Blake and Brianna Hodson. Great grandchildren Ashley Radman, Spencer and Kailee McPhee.

He was employed for 38 years in communication, for Northwestel, mostly in the North, and mostly on the Alaska Highway. Telephones - antique radios were a great hobby. In later years many were donated to museums. Bill was also committed to amateur radio (HAM) which he also taught many classes for in Kelowna.

An avid reader of history and he wrote books about people he found interesting, the countryside and about his own life. His failing eyesight was of great distress to him in his final years. However he continued to support antipoverty and charitable causes.
