passed away on June 29th, 2008. Born in Kelowna on Nov. 1st, 1931, Willy lived in the area his whole life with his wife of 55 years, Flo. Willy was very proud of his 4 children: Gary (Cheryl), Wendy (Larry) Keating, Robbie (Gord) Pearson, Darcy (Colin) Sauer and his many grand & great grandchildren. His surviving siblings: Rose, Eleanor, Phyllis and Joseph, nieces and nephews also held a special place in his heart. Willy spent his early working career at the Cannery and later as the President of local 1-423 I.W.A. for over 30 years. Fairness for the average guy was very important to Willy. Dad loved camping and fishing and spending time with his family & friends. He will still be with us every time we re-tell one of his larger-than-life stories or sing one of his favorite songs. By Willy’s request there will be no service. A gift in living memory of Willy may be made to Holding Hands for Hospice.
