With great sadness we announce the passing of Zane Kenneth Semchuk.
Zane was born on September 29, 1966 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. His older brothers being 14 and 12 were excited to have a baby brother. In 1972 Zane, at the age of 5 moved to Kelowna, British Columbia with his family where he resided until his passing on March 24, 2018.
Zane attended Spring Valley Secondary School. He enjoyed playing football, Ukrainian dancing and culture. He spent time with his mother painting pysankas and cooking traditional Ukrainian dishes. After graduation Zane worked for his father at the Corner Pin Inn. Zane enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and camping with friends.
Zane is predeceased by his father John (2008), and mother Sophie (2017). Zane is survived by his brothers Gary (Bev), Prince Albert, SK and their children, Lori (Richard), Lindsey and Brendan (Jessica), Wes (Micki) Kelowna, BC and their children, Zach (Taylor), Zoey (Tom), Zabrina (Riley) as well as 5 great Nieces and 2 great nephews and many friends.
The family will have a graveside service at a later date where he will be laid to rest with his parents at Kelowna Cemetery. We ask that his friends remember his warm smile and kind heart. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kelowna Hospice House.
