To the editor:
I want to thank all the people who assisted my daughter on Friday, September 27, after she had been side-swiped by another driver who chose to leave the scene of the accident.
Thank God for people like the couple who followed the other driver in order to get the licence plate. Good on you and I wish there were more people like yourselves.
The other driver has been found and charged, although in my opinion, he deserves to spend some time in jail.
To that driver: You got out of your car after you hit my daughter, who is seven months pregnant, to do what appeared to be, inspect your own vehicle, and then chose to leave her on the road.
People like you should have their driving rights removed for no less than six months. Fines for this type of behaviour don’t cut it.
