Letter: Independent schools save taxpayers money

All who send their children to a private school pay all the taxes that everyone else pays but receive only a fraction in return…

To the editor:

What does it take to educate people about funding for private schools?

A letter by Shirley Harshenin asks the question again. (No Tolerance for Clark’s Wasteful Bullying, Sept. 4 Capital News)

All who send their children to a private school pay all the taxes that everyone else pays but receive only a fraction of a teacher’s salary and nothing for the building or upkeep, so private schools are saving taxpayers lots of money for taking care of these expenses themselves.

Instead of criticizing private schools you should thank them for relieving you of a huge financial cost.
