Re: Layton Park’s letter: Turning South From Harvey Needs Fixing, May 30 Capital News.
This poor man is delusional when he mentions long term planning in Kelowna.
I have been here 30 some odd years and I have yet to see anyone in council with long term visions, for example: The bridge should never have come into Kelowna in the first place, it should have bypassed the city the way major byways do.
And the hospital, what a fiasco that is when we could have had an all new hospital built for the future. There was lots of land available before they started the patch jobs. The orchards on Springfield would have been a great choice, or even Benboulin or KLO.
The hospital could have been one for the future—50 to 100 years—instead they stand up and pat themselves on the back and don’t even realize that they made a mess.
I could go on and on but what good would it do?
