To the editor:
This morning I had a call from a local phone number claiming to be WESTJET and I was going to be awarded a free flight to Mexico. As I could hardly understand the caller, I presumed this was a scammer and hung up the telephone.
I called Westjet and was promptly told on their voice recorder that they do not call people and have had people scamming their company.
Please make this a headline in your paper to ward off the public (especially our seniors) from getting their personal information taken by unknowns in a foreign country.
