To the editor:

Testing for impaired driving by alcohol or a drug is already in the Criminal Code of Canada. There is a great deal of time and money being spent on establishing tests for driving under the influence of marijuana. And, well it should be, however, what about the myriad of other drugs (both illegal and prescribed) that are being used and impairs the driver much more severely? Police need support as these tests are not being established and yet they have the responsibility for protecting public safety. They don’t have tools to do their job.
