Kelowna 15-year-old wins debut Formula 4 race in California

Marco Kacic won his first race at the Formula Pro USA F4 Winter Series

He’s only 15, but Kelowna’s Marco Kacic has gotten his Formula 4 racing career off to a very good start. Kacic won in his debut F4 race with Doran Motorsports Group at the USA F4 Winter series in Fontana, California this past weekend.

Kacic’s practices runs were looking good throughout Friday, and was able to secure a win on Saturday’s race day with heavy rain conditions.

“I’m very happy that I was able to take the win but I’m also very happy that I was able to give Doran Motorsports Group their first victory in their first ever F4 race,” said Kacic. “The goal was to have a successful debut for the team as well as myself and I’m so happy that we did that.”

Kacic won the race by just over 27 seconds.
