Kelowna Skating Club members were a conspicuous lot at the B.C. Winter Games in Mission.

Kelowna skaters won both women’s singles titles with both B.C. and national record scores.

Local athletes also swept the medals in pre-novice women’s competition, while six of eight Kelowna skaters achieved a personal best score.

KSC results at the games were:

• Pre-Novice Women

1.  Mckenna Colthorp – 102.07 Personal Best

2.  Ajsha Gorman – 91.96

3.  Rochelle Reeve – 82.93 PB

• Juvenile Women

1.  Olivia Gran – 42.11 PB (second place finisher scored 34.26)

10.  Maya Rose – 30.89 PB

11.  Daria Carr – 30.85

• Juvenile men

2.  Dreyton Nelmes – 28.95 PB

5.  Carter Hiob – 24.58 PB

To put some perspective on just how high the scores were, here are scores from BCWG at Vernon in 2012: The winner of juvenile women scored 32.62, while the winner of pre-novice Women scored 76.16.

“Both of which are very good scores for their levels,” said KSC coach Jason Mongrain.
