Brandon McMillan scored four goals and the Kelowna Rockets prevailed 6-5 in a shootout over the Prince George Cougars in the team’s final WHL regular season game.
Mitchell Callahan had the other goal for the Rockets while Tyson Barrie and Brett Bulmer scored in the shootout. Adam Brown earned the win in net.
Barrie had an assist in regulation that tied him for the highest point total for a Kelowna defenceman in one season.
The Rockets close the WHL season in sixth place in the WHL Western Conference year 35-31-2-4.
Kelowna will open the WHL playoffs next weekend. Their opponent remains unknown until after the final day of the WHL regular season on Sunday.
