Kelowna and Kamloops play home and home to open new WHL season

The Kelowna Rockets will face their closest rivals in a home-and-home set to open the 2017-18 Western Hockey League season.

The Rockets will host the Kamloops Blazers Friday, Sept. 22 at Prospera Place before the teams meet for a rematch the following night in Kamloops.

Kelowna’s 72-game schedule will feature the traditional pre-Christmas eastern road trip, beginning Friday, Dec. 8 in Regina and wrapping up Dec. 16 in Saskatoon.
