Kelowna beats Kamloops 5-3 Friday; teams will battle again Saturday in Kelowna

The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Kamloops Blazers 5-3 Friday night in Kamloops, scoring three third period goals to take the first of two games between the two Western Hockey League rivals this weekend.

Geordie Wudrick, Mitchell Callahan and Codey Ito scored third period markers while Brandon McMillan added a pair of first period goals for the Rockets, who improved to 29-26-2-2 with the win.

Adam Brown earned his 26th win of the season for Kelowna, which outshot Kamloops 45-20 in the game.

The two teams meet again Saturday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna
