The Kelowna Rockets scored four straight goals to come from behind and beat the Prince George Cougars 4-2 at the CN Centre in Prince George Saturday night, beating the Cougars for the second straight night.

Tyrell Goulbourne and Tyson Baillie scored third period goals to snap a 2-2 tie as Kelowna improved to 8-11-2-1 on the Western Hockey League season.

Prince George led 2-0 before Mitchell Chapman scored to make the score 2-1 Cougars after the first period. Zach Franko tied the game in the second period before Kelowna completed the comeback with the two goals in the third.

Colten Martin had two assists and was named the games second star while Adam Brown earned the win in net stopping 29 of 31 shots.

It was the second straight win for the Rockets in Prince George after Friday night’s 3-2 win.

“It’s never easy to come up here and get two wins,” said assistant coach Ryan Cuthbert on the AM 1150 post game show. “It’s huge to come back and get the two points because we deserpately needed them.”

The two teams will meet for the third straight game coming up this Wednesday back in Kelowna.

“We knew we needed to come up here and get the wins,” said Cuthbert. “They’re a hard working team so for us to get the points was big.”
