A trip south to Bellingham, Washington was well worth the time and effort for the Kelowna United U15 boys squad.

United went undefeated in all five games played to capture the gold medal at the Baker Blast soccer tournament.

In the final, United downed MB School of Soccer 1-0 in overtime. Gavin Lawlor scored the title-clinching goal while keeper Eric Dueck posted the clean sheet. Dueck was solid all tournament, allowing just a single goal on a penalty kick.

In the round robin, Kelowna defeated the WFC Rangers 8-0, Crossfire Select 3-1 and RSA Elite 01 Lopez 1-0.

In the semifinals, United once again beat RSA Elite 01 Lopez 1-0.
