A banged up West Kelowna Warriors’ squad will look to end a five-game BCHL winless slide Wednesday when they visit the rival Vernon Vipers.

Face-off at Kal Tire Place is 7 p.m.

The Warriors (22-22-2-0) are tied for fourth in the Interior Division with Merritt, four points back of third-place Trail, while the Vipers (26-15-4-4) are in second, six points in arrears of the Penticton Vees.

The Warriors, who were without five regulars in the lineup due to injury, managed just one point in three road games last weekend.

After back-to-back 7-2 losses in Victoria and Powell River, West Kelowna took Chilliwack to overtime Sunday before losing 3-2 to the Chiefs.

Connor Sodergren and Chase Dubois scored for the Warriors, who surrendered a 2-0 third period lead.

Gabriel Morency had a busy night in the Warriors’ net, stopping 45 of 48 shots.

West Kelowna’s next home action is this Saturday against the Coquitlam Express. Face off at Royal LePage Place is 7 p.m.

The Warriors, who are expected to relocate from West Kelowna at the end of 2016-17, have four regular season games remaining at Royal LePage Place.
