Warriors use double overtime to beat Trail

Team wins twice against Trail last week; set for Wednesday date with Merritt.

Max French played the hero as the Westside Warriors defeated the Trail MSoke Eaters 5-4 in double overtime on Saturday night at Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna.

French scored at 3:54 of the second overtime, giving the Warriors its second straight win over Trail and improving its record to 28-19-2-4, still five points behind the Smokies in the Interior.

The Warriors host the Merritt Centennials on Wednesday before north for a three game road trip this weekend to Prince George and Quesnel.
