West Kelowna versus Penticton, Vernon against Salmon Arm on BCHL opening night

A new era starts for the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) on Friday, September 22.

On Friday, June 23, the league announced its schedule for its first season as an independent league.

In the Okanagan on opening night, the West Kelowna Warriors will host their rivals and 2023 BCHL champions, the Penticton Vees while the Salmon Arm Silverbacks host the Vernon Vipers.

A rematch of the 2023 finals will take place on March 16, 2024 when Penticton hosts the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.

The schedule for the BCHL showcase has not been announced yet but it will take place in Seattle from October 22-26. The exhibition schedule has also not been announced yet.

After the grueling 54-game season, the 2023-24 season ends on March 31 and the playoffs begin on April 5.
