The contentious location of the Kelowna Farmer’s and Crafter’s Market has been a hot topic for years.

However, a next step has now been taken, with a real estate listing on Unison HM Commercial Realty, priced for $12.95 million.

The 1.97-acre corner lot at Springfield Road and Dilworth Drive is currently zoned C2, Commercial, but has the potential in the future to be zoned for rental apartments or a high-rise condo.

Orchard Park Mall, kitty corner to the farmer’s market site, is the current owner.

A move to the downtown core on Clement Avenue was rejected by the market’s members in 2014, resulting in the resignation of society president Wolfe Wesle.

The property was listed by agents Jeff Hudson and Marshall McAnerney.

It is unknown at this time where another potential location for the market would be.
