It’s no secret inflation is causing challenges for individuals and families to access necessities.
Lake Country Health is trying to ease the burden with its new Nomination Program.
“Many people have found themselves dealing with inflation and rising costs for food, gas, utilities, and housing. It is hard enough on middle-income earners, so you can only imagine how hard it is hitting low-income seniors and families. Inflation is especially hard on our Lake Country seniors who live on a limited, fixed income,” said Lonna Grange the new executive director of Lake Country Health.
Individuals in the community can fill out a nomination form for any family or senior struggling with finances, health challenges, or loneliness. Volunteers at LCH will review the nomination and determine how best to support the nominee.
It is encouraged to discuss the nomination with the individual or family ahead of submitting the form.
Lake Country Health is also hosting the Shine a Light 50/50 raffle to raise funds for the organization. Tickets are available until Nov. 29 at midnight.
