Featured prominently in the 2023 Millionaire Lottery, the Central Okanagan accounts for two of the nine grand prize homes in the initiative that supports health care within the province.
The annual campaign launched earlier this week, with ticket sales for the luxury homes located throughout the province supporting the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation to fund innovative research, advance specialized health care and purchase critical equipment.
In addition to supporting health care, the winner can choose from 10 grand prizes, with the home packages valued between $3.1 and $2.9 million, or $2.7 million of tax-free cash. While most of the houses are located at the coast—South Surrey, Vancouver, Burnaby, Langley, Courtenay and Sooke—there are two local options with a property in Lake Country and one in West Kelowna.
With the prizes all having different perks, the Lake Country package consists of a 3,019 square foot house, $50,000 for furnishings, a $50,000 Travel Best Bets gift card and two 2023 vehicles, while the West Kelowna location boasts a 2,511 sq. ft. house, a boat, an electric vehicle, $15,000 for an EV charger and $200,000 cash.
While the lottery will allow someone to live like a millionaire, tickets are more affordable at two for $100, five for $175, 10 for $300 and 25 for $600. As an added incentive, there are additional prizes, including a 50/50 and the Daily Cash Plus with 105 days of winning. To encourage participants to buy tickets sooner than later, there will also be three bonus draws worth over $107,000 total, an early bird draw with three options and 50 draws of $1,000 each.
Tickets are available online at www.millionairelottery.com, by phone at 1-888-445-5825 or at any London Drugs location.
