Elton John, Bob Seger tribute acts booked for Penticton Peach Festival

RE/MAX Tribute Night to also pay homage to John Fogerty and CCR

Take a trip down memory lane at Okanagan Lake Park this summer, when some of rock’s greatest hits are celebrated during Penticton Peach Festival.

Renowned musicians that pay homage to Elton John, Bob Seger and John Fogerty will headline RE/MAX Tribute Night on Friday, Aug. 9, event organizers said.

“The Yellow Brick Road Experience,” courtesy of Andrew Johns and his band The Jets, will serve as the headliners. The group will pay tribute to Elton John with performances of hits like “Tiny Dancer” and “Saturday Night’s Alright.”

Juno award-winner Julie Masi from the Parachute Club, and the Uptown Hornz three-piece horn section will also be featured during the Elton John tribute.

Also booked for this year’s tribute concert is American Rock Legends, who take the stage with the hits of John Fogerty, CCR and Bob Seger on top of mind. The tribute group is led by Dan Hare.

“Thanks to RE/MAX, we are thrilled to be able to present such an incredible lineup for tribute night,” said Alysha Forrest, entertainment director at the Peach Festival.

“Each act brings its own unique energy and pays homage to some of the greatest icons in rock music history. It’s an honour to host these talented performers, and we can’t wait to see the audience’s reactions.”

This year’s Penticton Peach Festival runs from Aug. 7 to 11. All activities and entertainment are free.
