A possible new restaurant coming to Kelowna could be one-of-a-kind.

On Jan. 23, a trademark was filed for an establishment called Chai-Tainment. According to the trademark, it will have ‘tea-based and coffee-based beverages’ but also be a ‘restaurant and bar services featuring live and recorded music.’

The address on the file for the venue is 404-1938 Pandosy Street, where Runaways pub used to be.

According to the company’s website, Chai-Tainment will open in February and boasts to have “lively gatherings which will weave a global tapestry of cultural delight and shared moments.”

The menu consists of a variety of wraps including, Butter Chicken and Philly Cheesesteak, as well as poutines, BBQ corn, sandwiches and waffles.

The drink list will of course have chai tea, along with coffee, milkshakes and frappes.

“Each cup is a burst of joy, infusing your day with a splash of happiness,” reads the website.

It is believed a Fresh Slice Pizza is also added to a location in the same area.
