Kelowna Home Show set to take over Prospera Place

The two-day event is happening on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 17 and 18

Spend your Family Day long weekend at the Kelowna Spring Home Show.

The annual event returns to Prospera Place this weekend, taking place on Saturday, Feb. 17, and Sunday, Feb. 18.

More than 100 companies will have vendors with everything from renovation contractors to outdoor furniture, sustainable energy systems new kitchen cabinets, and more.

Stamp cards will also be available for people to fill out while they walk around. Entering a full card gives attendees a chance to win a prize.

Christina Dennis, who runs a design it yourself (DIY) YouTube channel, will be there on Saturday at 2 p.m. with budget-friendly ideas. There will also be a deck construction showcase put on by the CEO of Canada’s BEST Decks & Railings Landon Ashby.

At 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, members of the Kelowna Fire Department will take the stage with a presentation on home fire safety and what to do during a house fire.

There will be a station set up for kids as well.

Tickets are $5 for adults while kids and veterans get in free. People who buy tickets ahead of the event have a chance to win a $100 Visa card. Half of all ticket sales go to the event’s two title sponsors: Canada’s BEST Decks & Railings and Mama for Mama’s from the Habitat for Humanity Okanagan.

The show will be taking place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
