An art auction put on by Kelowna’s Gospel Mission (KGM) was a great success.

The first annual event took place at Grizzli Winery in West Kelowna on Jan. 27 and in total raised $150,000 to support services at KGM.

More than 180 people attended and more than 30 original paintings were auctioned off.

“The generosity displayed by those in attendance, as well as the artists, galleries, and sponsors involved, is sincerely appreciated and is having a significant impact in our community,” said KGM’s resource development specialist Spencer Larsen. “Their contributions made this all possible and elevated the event to a level that we couldn’t have imagined, and for that, we say thank you.”

Because of the event’s success, the second annual event has already been scheduled for 2025.
