Two men were arrested in the early hours of Dec. 20, for possession of drugs and a 3D-printed firearm after they were stopped by police on Highway 3A just outside Keremeos.

The vehicle had been pulled over at 1:30 a.m. after it was spotted travelling at a high rate of speed. The driver displayed suspected signs of impairment by drugs and was detained for further investigation.

A search of the vehicle following their arrest found suspected illegal drugs, along with a 3D printed .22 calibre firearm, break-in tools and other weapons.

“This high-risk vehicle stop led to the arrest of two wanted individuals, uncovering drugs and a 3D-printed firearm,” said Cpl. James Grandy, BC RCMP Spokesperson. “This incident highlights the unpredictable risks officers face daily and their commitment to proactive community safety.”
