Flights impacted by fog at Kelowna International Airport

Environment Canada says the fog should dissipate by noon

The Kelowna International Airport is experiencing some flight interruptions due to the fog in the Central Okanagan.

A Pacific Coastal flight to Victoria has been cancelled, while an Air Canada flight to Calgary is delayed to 11 a.m., and flights to Edmonton and Prince George have also been delayed.

A WestJet flight from Edmonton to Kelowna was diverted at about 9:30 a.m. as was an Air Canada flight from Victoria.

Environment Canada is forecasting the fog to dissipate by late morning, with a 30 per cent chance of showers continuing in the afternoon.

Temperatures for the Central Okanagan are steady near 6 C.

Thursday is also anticipated to see a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of 9 C.
