Four people are in critical condition at Kelowna General Hospital as a result of a head-on crash between two vehicles on Highway 33, on Feb. 28.
The crash occurred just after 10 p.m., between a silver-coloured Toyota sedan travelling eastbound on the highway and a black-coloured Dodge sedan travelling westbound, close to Garner Road.
The highway from Garner Road to Toovey Road was closed for seven hours after the collision before being reopened at 5:35 a.m. on Feb. 29.
It appears as though both vehicles crashed into the median and then rolled down the embankment.
At this time, RCMP said that the cause of the crash is still undetermined.
The Kelowna RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation team is continuing their investigation and asking for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or surveillance footage to come forward.
