Lake Country council approves five-year financial plan

The plan includes a previously approved 9.52 per cent property tax increase

Lake Country council has its 2024-2028 Financial Plan along with a previously approved 9.52 per cent property tax increase.

The increase represents an approximate increase of $248 to the average single-family home which is currently assessed at $1,086,000 in Lake Country.

Nearly 42 per cent of the district’s revenue, pegged at $53.8 million for 2024, comes from property taxes.

Expenses are set at nearly $12.4 million.

Council initially considered a 10.2 per cent property tax increase during budget deliberations in Dec. 2023.
