Kelowna Rockets shutout in game one against Prince George

It was a tough night for the Kelowna Rockets as they lost game one of their best-of-seven second-round series against the Prince George Cougars by the score of 4-0.

Cougars defenceman Ephram McNutt scored the eventual game-winner in the first period.

Prince George also got a second-period, short-handed goal from Terik Parascak. It was his fifth of the postseason.

Keaton Dowhaniuk and Borya Valis each added their third goals of the playoffs in the final frame en route to the 4-0 win.

Jari Kykkanen made 29 saves in the loss for the Rockets. Cougars netminder Joshua Ravensbergen made 21 saves.

Prince George leads the series 1-0.

Game two takes place on Saturday night (Apr. 13) at the CN Centre at 6 p.m.
