West Kelowna Warriors collect four points on Kootenay road trip

The Warriors beat the Trail Smoke Eaters 3-1 and Cranbrook Bucks 4-1

Felix Caron helped power the West Kelowna Warriors to a 4-1 win over the Cranbrook Bucks on Saturday night (Mar. 23) at Western Financial Place.

Caron scored twice in the third period, including an empty net goal for his 30th of the season. Callum Hughes (23) and Sean Keohane (5) also scored for the Warriors.

Caron is third in BCHL scoring with 64 points, behind Aaron Schwartz (81) and Caden Cranston (86), both with the Surrey Eagles.

The Warriors were 0/4 on the power play but 3/3 on the penalty kill. West Kelowna also beat the Trail Smoke Eaters 3-1 the night before (Mar. 22).

Owen Drury (3), Keohane, and Jack Pridham (22) scored for the Warriors.

West Kelowna’s final home game of the regular season is Fri. Mar. 29 when they host the Power River Kings.

It is Fan Appreciation Night with giveaways and the team handing out its year-end awards following the game.

The Warriors’ last game of the season is on the road in Penticton against the Vees on Sun. Mar. 31.
