Just after 6 p.m. on May 9, police were asked to assist after a caller reported he became separated from his friend while harvesting mushrooms in the forest near Adams Lake. The missing friend was said to have health and mobility issues, and didn’t have any supplies with him.

The caller had already been searching for hours before alerting the police, who in turn requested assistance from Shuswap Search & Rescue.
