Nakusp resident charged with possession of a controlled substance

The first court date for the individual will be May 14

Nakusp resident, Saedy Jones has been charged with seven counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, according to RCMP.

The charges follow two investigations from May and June, 2023.

“It is a priority for the Nakusp and Slocan Lake RCMP Detachments to keep illicit drugs from entering our community, and away from the most vulnerable in the community, our youth,” said Cpl Thomas Gill of the Nakusp/Slocan Lake RCMP.

Jones’s first court date will be May, 15.
