Pets sit in Santa’s lap

Kelowna - The Okanagan Small Dog Rescue Society held a pet photo opt today

Santa Claus might have to make room in his sac for pet treats this holiday season.

Pets and pet owners sat in Claus’s lap during the Okanagan Small Dog Rescue Society event, held today from 1 to 4 p.m.

Kelly Simard and Helen Glaser brought their dog for a photo opt with Claus to get a holiday family photo and to support the rescue society.

Johanna Leinemann, from the rescue society, said all types of animals are accepted, including lizards at the Watson’s Hound Lounge.
