The pyrotechnics were abundant Friday night; still more to see and do on last day of Carnival Sunday

Vernon Winter Carnival was heavy on the pyrotechnics at the Family Fun Park in the parking lot of Kal Tire Place Friday night.

As dusk set in around 5:30 p.m., a crowd formed a circle in the Fun Park to watch performers from Kelowna’s Kinshira Entertainment put on a fire dancing show, twirling various flaming torches and staffs in the air.

At 6 p.m., Carnival-goers turned their attention to the skies above the Kin Race Track grounds to take in a spectacular fireworks show.
