Silt slide south of Summerland on Highway 97

Traffic was delayed approx. 30 minutes, not related to rock slide north of Summerland

At approximately 9 a.m. on Feb. 22, a silt slide blocked the south lane of Highway 97 just south of Summerland.

Cst. Chris Richardson of the Summerland RCMP detachment said traffic was reduced to a single lane in both directions for around half an hour.

He said road maintenance crews quickly cleared the silt and traffic is now moving as normal.
