UPDATE: Snowfall warning on B.C. highways

Environment Canada is forecasting 15 cm of snow for B.C. Highways.

UPDATE: 4:15 p.m.

Fog and black ice are causing havoc on Highway 97C, Friday afternoon.

Multiple crashes have been reported on the Connector, including two rollovers.

Drivers are reporting low visibility near Brenda Mine.

Motorists are urged to use caution when heading out on the B.C. Interior highways.

It appears B.C. residents can’t escape winter this year.

Yet another snowfall warning is being issued by Environment Canada for the Coquihalla Highway.

Up to 15 centimetres of snow is expected for Friday.

This snowfall warning comes as part of a frontal system that is moving northward across the B.C. southern interior.

According to Environment Canada heavy snow to the Coquihalla, Okanagan Connector and Highway 3 – Hope to Princeton Friday morning.

Snow will begin early Friday morning then taper off to a few flurries or showers after the front passes later in the day.

Check DriveBC for heading out onto the road as rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.
